Country Painted Kitchen Cabinets
If you're looking for country painted kitchen cabinets that actually look like they belong in a farmhouse, not a showroom, you're in the right place. We build each one by hand from solid tulipwood, then paint them in small batches using a low-VOC, soft matte finish. No MDF. No conveyor belts. Just honest materials and traditional joinery.
What Makes These Country Painted Kitchen Cabinets Different
Most painted cabinets you see online are foil-wrapped MDF with a sprayed finish that chips within a year. Ours are not. We use solid tulipwood frames, pine backs, and a hand-applied paint system that takes three full coats. The finish is soft to touch, hides fingerprints, and doesn't look like plastic. It looks like paint should.
You get a cabinet that feels heavy, closes softly, and will still look good when your kids have left home.
Solid Wood, Not Chipboard
Open one of our cupboard doors and you'll see wood. Not a printed foil. Not a melamine edge. Just kiln-dried tulipwood, mortise and tenon joints, and a solid pine back panel. Drawer boxes are dovetailed and run on soft-close slides. We don't use hardboard, and we don't use staples.
This matters because real wood doesn't swell when your kettle steams up the kitchen. It doesn't delaminate after five years. And if you scratch it, you can sand it and repaint it.
A Paint Finish That Stays Put
The paint is the part most people worry about. Will it chip? Will it mark? We spent eighteen months testing different paint systems before we found one that works.
Here is what we settled on: a waterborne, low-VOC paint that cures hard but keeps a soft matte look. It resists heat, stains, and everyday knocks. We spray it by hand, three coats, with a clear topcoat. Then we cure it again.
We are so confident in it that we offer a 5-year guarantee against peeling or yellowing. If it fails, we replace it. That has not happened yet.
Twenty-Four Farmhouse Colours, Plus Custom Matching
You do not have to guess what a colour looks like from a screen. Order a sample, and we send you a 6x6 inch painted board on real wood.
Our standard palette has 24 colours, all named after things you would find on a working farm:
Duck Egg Blue – cool, greyish, airy
Sage Green – warm, earthy, very popular right now
French Grey – soft, elegant, works with everything
Buttermilk – creamy off-white, not too yellow
Chartwell Pink – subtle, not sugary
Tractor Red – bold, traditional, for a pantry or island
If you have a Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, or Benjamin Moore reference, send it to us. We can match it exactly.

How to Look After Painted Cabinets
How to Look After Painted Cabinets
You do not need special cleaners. Just a soft, damp cloth and a drop of washing-up liquid. Wipe, then dry with another cloth. That is it.
Do not use bleach, vinegar, or citrus sprays. They will dull the finish over time.
If you get a scratch – and you will, because kitchens are for living in – we send a 50ml touch-up pot with every order. Apply it with a small brush. The scratch disappears.
Once every five or six years, you can put a fresh topcoat on if you want to. We sell it separately. Most people do not bother.
What Customers Say
Sarah, Vermont
"I was nervous about painted cabinets because my sister had some from a big box store and they looked terrible after two years. These are completely different. The duck egg blue is beautiful, the finish is smooth, and they still look new after eighteen months. The free sample arrived in three days."
James, Oregon
"We have an awkward L-shaped kitchen with non-standard widths. Your team helped me measure up, and every single cabinet fitted perfectly. Solid wood, soft-close drawers, and the sage green colour is exactly what we wanted. Half the price of a local cabinet maker."
Emma, Texas
"Ordered a sample of French grey, then ordered the full kitchen. Delivery was three weeks. My husband fitted them over a weekend. Two years on, not one chip. I recommend you to everyone on our street."
FAQ
Are country painted kitchen cabinets hard to keep clean?
No. They are easier than gloss because they do not show every fingerprint. A damp cloth is all you need.
Can I get a bespoke size?
Yes. We make any width from 150mm to 1200mm. Use the bespoke quote button and tell us your measurements.
What is your lead time?
Two to three weeks for standard sizes. Four to six weeks for bespoke or large orders.
Do you ship outside the USA?
Yes. Canada, UK, Australia, and most of Europe. Shipping costs $250–$500 depending on order size. You pay any local customs duties.
What if I do not like the colour?
That is why we send samples. Order a sample board first. If you do not like it, you are only out the cost of a stamp.
Can I return standard size cabinets?
Yes, within 30 days. You pay return shipping. Bespoke sizes are non-returnable because they are made for your kitchen only.
Do you offer trade discounts?
Yes. If you are a kitchen fitter, interior designer, or builder, email us for a trade account. We offer 15% off on orders over ten cabinets.
