The material selection of cabinets is a key link in kitchen decoration. Different materials have their own advantages and disadvantages in performance, appearance and price. The following are common cabinet materials and their characteristics:
Cabinet material
Solid wood particle board: Made of wood chips and glue, it has a tight structure, strong resistance to gravity, and is not easy to deform, but its moisture resistance is average and it is not suitable for humid environments.
Solid wood multilayer board: Made of multiple layers of wood glued together, it has high strength, good stability, better moisture resistance and pressure resistance than particle board, but attention should be paid to the environmental protection of glue.
Stainless steel: Food-grade stainless steel is used, which is fireproof, high temperature resistant, moisture-proof, easy to clean, but easy to scratch, and has a cold and hard appearance.
Solid wood: Environmentally friendly and high-end, but expensive and easy to crack. Most of the solid wood multilayer boards or particle boards on the market are impersonated.
Granite: Natural stone, high hardness, durable, but low appearance, easy to accumulate dust and mold.
Quartz stone: Waterproof, durable, beautiful, but expensive, poor stability during installation.
Cabinet door material Blister door: Made of medium-density fiberboard and PVC film, waterproof and moisture-proof, with various shapes, but poor quality ones are easy to deform.
Particle board door: Made of particle board and melamine impregnated paper, affordable, but average moisture resistance.
Solid wood door: High-end and environmentally friendly, but expensive and easy to crack.
Painted door: Smooth surface, easy to clean, but easy to scratch.
Acrylic door: Smooth surface, easy to clean, but easy to discolor, high price
